Why the name Argon?
She’s hull number 18 in her series, and 18 is the atomic number for the noble gas argon—strong, stable, and reliable, just like our boat. Argon was built at the Tartan Yachts factory near Cleveland, Ohio, and we were fortunate to customize many aspects of her design to create the perfect blend of comfort and performance.
Designed for Performance and Comfort
Argon’s versatile sail plan features a powerful mainsail and two permanently rigged headsails (a 90% jib and a 150% genoa), giving her incredible flexibility in different wind conditions. With twin helms (steering wheels), she offers excellent balance and makes it easy—even for first-timers—to experience the thrill of steering a world-class yacht.
Spacious, Comfortable, and Ready to Sail
- Cockpit: Argon’s generous cockpit comfortably seats up to 6 guests plus crew, making her ideal for private, intimate charters.
- Interior: Below deck, she offers a fully equipped galley, a head (bathroom), and two cozy cabins—perfect for day sails and overnight trips alike.

The cockpit is very roomy and can easily accommodate up to 6 passengers plus crew. Inside is a full galley, head (bathroom), and twin cabins.
