Flexible Experiences
In addition to a standard out-and-back sail, we can create memorable variations such as:
- Swimming Stops at some favorite coves
- Overnight sailing adventures
- Dinner destinations
- Private sailing lessons
- Wedding send-offs (yes, we’ve done that)
- Pickup/drop-off at alternative locations around Narragansett Bay
Cancellations & Weather Policy
Captain’s Call: Safety is our top priority. If the captain deems conditions unsafe, we may cancel or cut the trip short. We’ll do our best to reschedule, and if a cruise is shortened significantly, we’ll adjust the cost or offer a credit toward a future sail.
Passenger’s Call: If the weather is safe but marginal, we’ll offer the option to cancel or reschedule at no penalty. For other cancellations, we kindly request as much notice as possible—ideally at least 7 days in advance.
Important Info for Your Charter
Safety: We prioritize safety above all. Children under 12 must wear a personal flotation device (PFD) at all times, and we may require PFDs for all guests depending on conditions.
Guests: We can accommodate up to 6 guests per private charter. Children aged 6 and up are welcome; for young kids, we recommend shorter sails, especially if it’s their first time sailing.
Food & Drink: We provide a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and alcoholic drinks (please enjoy responsibly). No smoking is allowed aboard.
What to Bring
- Cameras and phones are welcome—just be cautious, as it’s easy to lose items overboard. Zippered/snap pockets are highly recommended.
- Dress in layers—it’s often cooler on the water, and conditions can change quickly.
- Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and soft-soled shoes (no hard soles, please). You may go barefoot on board, but wear shoes on the docks.
Our mission is to keep you safe, deliver an unforgettable sailing experience, and—if you’re up for it—teach you some sailing basics along the way. Argon is a fantastic performer, and we encourage all guests to get involved and be part of the crew if they’d like. That’s what we call it All Hands!
