Meet Argon: Our Beautiful Sailing Yacht

Argon is not just any boat—she’s our pride and joy. This 40-foot Tartan 4000 sloop, built in 2014 in the USA, is a high-performance, beautifully crafted sailing yacht. While her homeport is right here in New England, she’s also ventured south for three adventurous winters in the Caribbean. But there’s nothing she loves more than gliding through the waters of Newport and Narragansett Bay, where we offer private sailing charters for guests eager to experience the magic of sailing.

We’re passionate about sharing Argon and the incredible sailing lifestyle with every guest who steps aboard.

Why the name Argon?

She’s hull number 18 in her series, and 18 is the atomic number for the noble gas argon—strong, stable, and reliable, just like our boat. Argon was built at the Tartan Yachts factory near Cleveland, Ohio, and we were fortunate to customize many aspects of her design to create the perfect blend of comfort and performance.

Designed for Performance and Comfort

Argon’s versatile sail plan features a powerful mainsail and two permanently rigged headsails (a 90% jib and a 150% genoa), giving her incredible flexibility in different wind conditions. With twin helms (steering wheels), she offers excellent balance and makes it easy—even for first-timers—to experience the thrill of steering a world-class yacht.

Spacious, Comfortable, and Ready to Sail

  • Cockpit: Argon’s generous cockpit comfortably seats up to 6 guests plus crew, making her ideal for private, intimate charters.
  • Interior: Below deck, she offers a fully equipped galley, a head (bathroom), and two cozy cabins—perfect for day sails and overnight trips alike.
